- Foundation – The term “foundation” can be understood in the sense of the lowest part of a building (often underground) or as referring to an organization that has been established with an endowment (for example a research body or charity). However, there is another sense that is at the root of our name – that which refers to the underlying principle or basis of something.
- Stewardship – The term “stewardship” refers to the careful and responsible management of something entrusted to one’s care – as in the stewardship of natural resources.
It is in this sense that we chose “Foundations of Stewardship” as the name for our consulting firm. We emphasize the underlying principles that are important for good stewardship and improved well-being in our world.
